Consultation on the transparency section of the HM Treasury business plan

18 January 2011

Open date: 18 January 2011

Closing date: 8 February 2011

An informal consultation has been launched on the transparency section of our Business Plan and runs for three weeks. The purpose of this consultation is to seek feedback from stakeholders, including members of the public, to ensure that this section of the Business Plan contains the most relevant and timely information.

Following your feedback our final plan will go live in April 2011.

We welcome your views and comments on the transparency section - including against the following points:

1. Have we selected the right indicators and measures - and clearly explained their meaning in order to give you a helpful high-level picture on Treasury’s spending and performance?
2. The appropriateness of our commitment to the publication of data - how can we more clearly define it to help you judge performance and whether the data that will be published meets your needs;
3. What extra data, or breakdown of data, would you find helpful (subject to the collection burden and confidentiality considerations)? Guidance is available on the OPSI website
4. How would you like us to engage you in helping the department to meet Treasury’s commitment to transparency and to make data available in the most helpful format?
