Deregulating retail freight forwarding insurance: a consultation
A consultation by HM Treasury seeking views and evidence on the Government's intention to remove the retail insurance activities of freight forwarders and storage firms from the scope of Financial Services Authority regulation.
The consultation opened on 19 June 2008 and will close on 12 September 2008.
This consultation follows the consultation and deregulation of the commercial insurance activities of freight forwarders and storage firms last year. The changes were made by Statutory Instrument 2007 no. 1821, which came into force on 20 July 2007.
