Consultation on new Lloyd's Accounting Regulations: Implementation of the Audit Directive 2006/43/EC) and the Reporting Directive (2006/46/EC)
This consultation sets out the Treasury's proposals for implementing Directive 2006/43/EC on the statutory audits of annual and consolidated accounts, and Directive 2006/46/EC on company reporting, with respect to Lloyd's. Other amendments subsequent to the enactment of the Companies Act 2006 are also proposed. Changes are needed to the Insurance Accounts Directive (Lloyd's Syndicate and Aggregate Accounts) Regulations 2004. In making the changes it is proposed to revoke those regulations and replace them with a complete, updated, set to aid clarity and ease of use. The new draft regulations are included in the consultation document.
