Proposed model for the Re-Engineering of Gilts Registration: A Discussion Document

11 September 2002

The Treasury is taking a routine look at registration services for British government stock, and is considering whether the current arrangements are the most cost effective and efficient. The model in this proposal document has been circulated to a number of key organisations with an interest in stock registration. It has been devised as a possible alternative to the current arrangements, but does not represent government policy. The responses to this informal consultation will help determine whether it makes sense to develop the model further.

The proposal document is available below in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer you can download the software free of charge from the Adobe website.
