Final report on the efficiency programme

A full breakdown, by department, of progress towards the 2004 Spending Review efficiency targets was first published on the Office of Government Commerce website shortly after Budget 2007. In April 2007 overall responsibility for delivery of the Efficiency Programme transferred to HM Treasury. This report provides detailed breakdowns, by department, of final figures for 2007-08 reported to the Efficiency Programme as published at the Pre Budget Report 2008.
