The Government has set out a comprehensive National Infrastructure Plan, with a new strategy for meeting the infrastructure needs of the UK economy. This contained major commitments to invest in critical infrastructure projects as well as steps to attract major new private sector investment and improve delivery.
An update on implementation of the National Infrastructure Plan was published alongside Autumn Statement 2012. This update sets out the progress made on the priority infrastructure investments identified in the National Infrastructure Plan 2011, other Government commitments on infrastructure in the 2011 plan and updates the infrastructure investment pipeline data.
An Infrastructure Delivery Update was published alongside Budget 2012 to update on progress on the priority projects.
The Government published an updated National Infrastructure Plan in November 2011. This provides a new strategy for meeting the infrastructure needs of the UK economy and contains major commitments to invest in critical infrastructure projects as well as steps to attract major new private sector investment and improve delivery.
The National Infrastructure Plan 2011 built on progress from the National Infrastructure Plan 2010, which for the first time ever set out the Government’s vision for the future of UK economic infrastructure.
Detailed data on the infrastructure investment and government construction pipelines have been updated alongside the National Infrastructure Plan: update 2012 to provide industry with greater visibility over the future pipeline of Government funded construction projects, wider regulated and private sector infrastructure. This pipeline data is updated on a regular basis.
