Annual Statement on European Union finances
13 July 2012
Following a recommendation by the Public Accounts Committee, successive Governments have, since 1980, produced an annual statement to Parliament giving details of the current year’s EU Budget.
HM Treasury has now published the thirty second in this series. This statement describes the EU Budget for 2012, and details the UK’s gross and net contributions for both calendar and financial years. It includes information on developments in EU financial management and the fight against fraud affecting EU funds.
