Insurers (Reorganisation and Winding-up) (Lloyd's) Regulations 2005

21 July 2005

The Insurers (Reorganisation and Winding-up) (Lloyd's) Regulations 2005 were laid before Parliament on 20 July 2005.  These Regulations can be viewed at the link below and will shortly also be available on the HMSO website .

The Insurers (Reorganisation and Winding-up) (Lloyd's) Regulations 2005 implement the Insurance Reorganisation and Winding-up Directive 2001/17/EC in respect of the Lloyd’s of London insurance market.  This Directive was originally implemented for all insurers in the UK apart from Lloyd’s by the Insurers (Reorganisation and Winding Up) Regulations 2003 on 17 April 2003.  These Regulations were replaced by the Insurers (Reorganisation and Winding Up) Regulations 2004 (“the principal Regulations”).

Consultation closed on 11 March 2005 and HM Treasury would like to thank all those who responded to the consultation document for their valuable contributions.
