Notes for editors

1. The last edition of PESA (Cm 6201) was published in April 2004. Since then, new outturn data have been released and previous estimates updated for a number of key series, most recently in a Treasury press release on 16 March 2005 PN 30 Public Spending Annual Outturns. Updated spending plans and estimated outturns for 2004-05 were published in the Budget document on 16 March 2005 (HC 372). The data in PESA are consistent with the Budget document except where more recent information, including data published by ONS, has subsequently become available.
