Biographical information
Edward Leigh
Edward Leigh serves as the Member of Parliament for Gainsborough and was Chairman of the Public Accounts Select Committee from July 2001. He has served in a number of ministerial posts, including as a member of the Social Security Select Committee from 1995 to 2000 and Joint Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee from 1997 to 2001. From 1990-1993, Edward was a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department of Trade and Industry. Prior to this he was a Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Home Office.
Dr John Pugh
Dr John Pugh has served as the Member of Parliament for Southport since June 2001 and was a member of the Public Accounts Select Committee from 2006-2010. He has served in a number of ministerial posts, including Shadow Minister for: Transport 2005-2006; Health 2006-2007; Treasury 2008-2010; and Health 2009-2010. Before this he was the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Education 2002-2005 and former leader of Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council.
