2000 Spending Review
The 2000 Spending Review set new three year spending plans up to 2003-04, using 2001-02 (the last year of the plans set in the 1998 CSR) as the first year of the new plans. The Review did not repeat the lengthy item by item examination of programmes undertaken in the CSR, but some issues were reviewed in depth, including 15 Cross-Cutting Reviews of policy areas that cut across traditional departmental boundaries.
