Business Forum on Tax and Competitiveness

In his 2 July 2010 speech to the Centre for Business Taxation, Oxford University, the Exchequer Secretary, David Gauke MP stated;
“We must listen carefully to businesses, and to what they tell us will really encourage them to invest further in the UK.”
In this speech David Gauke announced he would create and chair a forum for business leaders to discuss ways in which the Government can improve the competitiveness of the UK's tax system, including the long-term aims of the corporate tax system.

This forum has been established as the Business Forum on Tax and Competitiveness (BTFC) and its membership is listed below.

Terms of reference
The remit and membership of the Business Forum on Tax and Competitiveness will be reviewed every two years. The Forum terms of reference, which were agreed at the first meeting of the Forum, are now available.
